"From the Czech Republic comes Pandemia, with a nice, chunky slab of death. Nothing groundbreaking or particularly innovative, just lots of memorable riffs and busy drumming that cut clean and precise, straight to the gut. There are a few keyboard/noise pieces spread through the disc that help to break up the monotony, but it would be interesting to hear Pandemia start pulling them into actual songs. They work pretty well as stand-alone pieces though, especially the empty sounding Outro. I gotta say that I like the production. It's real basic, guitars doubling each other, split hard left and right, bass, drums and vocals right up the middle. The guitars are just thin enough that they retain their crunch while letting the bass rumble through the mix with a fat, round tone that takes full advantage of the sonic space the guitars gave up for it. You know what this reminds me of? Sins of Mankind by Cancer. It has a similar feel to it. Mid-paced, simple, catchy... It makes a solid addition to the collection. In other words, it's worth the money."
    - Deadtide (USA)

"Very aggressive and heavy Death Metal from a band who has much live experience and know playing their instruments; sounds a little bit like underground, but it's a good piece of extreme music for extreme listeners..."
    - Amboss (Germany)

"Pandemia is an amazing death metal band from the Czech Rep. Their sound is now bleeding over into the states with their dynamic debut on Lost Disciple Records. The first thing I noticed is that the production is phenomenal. The machine like madness is captured with clarity on ever song. Every instrument mixed with perfection at just the right range. Anyway, lets move onto the music. Pandemia play a brutally fast style of death metal. The guitars are charged with enormous energy & the double bass is absolutely mind blowing! Even though they speed through most of the songs they do slow down and grind out some killer riffage in between. There is just enough variety to keep it interesting & the insanity never stops through out the CD. Neck breaking noise & relentless rage fuel every song, nonstop! This CD is a must for fans of all extreme! The energy & anger on this is unmatched! The band holds nothing back & completely shreds everything in its path. The vocals are sickening & indecipherable, just like you freaks like it! So what is stopping you, get this now! 6 6 / 6 6 6"
    - Burning Season (USA)

"From the choppy, eardrum grazing riffs and explosions of "Majestic Suffering" and mind warping vibrations of "Created Again", Pandemiahave recorded a gem of a death metal release. "Spreading the Message" does not sound like many of Pandemia's death metal counterparts, and does a fine job of straying away from the typical death metal sound long perfected by the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Vader and immolation. This Czech quartet have a very promising future and it would not be surprising if they create a dent within worldwide death metal circles."
    - Explicitly Intense (USA)

"From the Czech Republic hail Pandemia who are here to Spread the Message, a message of evil, hatred with their sinister crushing brutal death metal. Playing in an already stagnated scene, what comes as a pleasant suprise is that Pandemia can actually write good songs with killer riffs and correct structure, without borrowing too much from the past as most death metal bands do today. In their debut "Spreading The Message" they display skillful playing and an obvious proffesional approach to death metal. An intro, an outro and 9 tracks, themselves littered with intros and outros aswell as other mysterious sounds which tie in well with the music and make it more interesting. The music itself is powerful mid-tempo death metal with occasional outbursts of fast parts, yet irregardless of speed the galloping thrash/ death riffs are heavy as fuck and the drums are pounding right in your face. 7/10"
    - Metal Disorder (Greece)

"Opening with a brooding introduction Pandemia bursts into their first full length with a very sinister style of death metal. And aren't they indeed 'spreading the message'.. of brutality. Pandemia build their own slow, yet crushing brutality which is interluded with moments of speed and blast. The vocals rasp menacingly to the dark chug of epic riffs, some interesting solos, ominous bass and pounding drums. It is excellent to hear a band with slower moments being equally as heavy. And the dramatic interludes of strange noise here and there are awesome, suiting the evil nature of the music well. This is a truly dark and scathing attack of death metal which I like a lot! Menacing, in the vein of killer bands like Angel Corpse with a slight Morbid Angel, Sinister, Krisiun and Order From Chaos influence. To hear this band with a more aggressive, live production and more interesting beats would be sheer brutal, fist and head banging bliss!"
    - The Necromortician Necrozine (Australia)

"Two words to start describing PANDEMIA: Sheer wrath! This opens right up with haunting noise with gunshots off in the distance, then rages into "Stiffness", A song that flatens you cold. You know that it's predocessors will lay waste to your ears! "Clean" deep, torturous voxs that flow like guts from a disgorged whore! All of "Spreading The Message" is a full out death metal kick in the face with shattering, tight guitars. Not the over typical mosh riffs drowning the scene today. the style of PANDEMIA is unique to themselves where right from the 1st note these guys from the Czech Rep. have no intention of letting up or being compared. They leave almost all other underground bands in the boneyard for scraps! If you are looking for something that will take you on a frightening whirlwind pummuling pick up "Spreading the message" today! 10 Impalements."
    - Violated Rot (USA)

"War inducing death metalfrom the czech republic. This album kicked my ass I think it's the best thing i've heard from this label. If your looking for a good death metal album this is it!"
    - The Perfect Malice (USA)

"...check Pandemia out for yourself, as they're still a lot better than lots of other bands."
    - Vampire (Holland)

"Being a huge hockey fan, I know the talent that comes from the Czech Republic, but I had no idea that the country produced such good metal as well. Pandemia bring a relentless attack of brutal death metal to the table, only giving you time to breath a few seconds at a time during their intros. Before the full-on assault comes, their intros intrigue the listener with strange music that puts most horror movie tracks to shame. It sounds like an intro to Armaggedon. How suiting...for what comes next truly is Armaggedon. I wonder if these guys like hockey. Grade: 91/100"
    - Into Obscurity (USA)

"The Czech Republic's Pandemia is death metal with touches of brutal death and thrash riffs. "Spreading The Message" is unadulterated by trends or fancy instrumentation - this is straight-to-the-gut, nose-to-the-grindstone death metal. The nine bludgeoning songs of "Spreading The Message" are interspersed with various intros and outros and gives "Spreading The Message" a near cinematic feel which I find quite odd yet refreshing, for a death metal album. Highlights include "Majestic Suffering" and "Slavemind." Slowing down the pace for a breather on "Presentiment Of The Souls" gives Pandemia a much needed diversion - the thrashy riffs of this song work well against the band's otherwise relentless attack. Fans of traditional, old-school death metal will get a kick out of Pandemia. Pandemia have shared the stage with Death, Vader, Krabathor, Kreator, and Six Feet Under and have played throughout Europe. Can a U.S. tour be far behind? 3/4"
    - Roughedge (USA)

"Rating: 5 of 6 Death metal? I wouldn't say so. In my view, musically PANDEMIA is more likely a perfect amalgamation of both death and black metal. In fact, there's not much to be said in regards to this CD. Fast and raw yet diversified and well thoughtout, brutal yet intelligent Moreover, it's distinguishable and nearly original. Actually, there's an enormous number of various epithets fitting these Czechs, however none of them would ever be the synonym for PANDEMIA's very essence. Perhaps, you'd better go and buy this effort instead of listening to my pathetic bubbling?"
    - (Herr Stalhammar) Vae Solis (Russia)

"Pandemia is from the Czech Republic, and they bring their eastern European talent to the United States to have their music put out through Lost Disciple Records. These guys have broken death metal down to two things: brutality and speed. They posses the same talents as the death metal bands that have preceded them. Pandemia has the classic death metal sound. Anywhere from Monstrosity to Cancer and Incantation to Sinister. If you combine those bands you basically have formed Pandemia. There are thirteen tracks of terror on this thirty minute CD. There are three intro tracks to songs, and one outro song. The three intro tracks were setup different then I have scene before. There are intro tracks on tracks one, five and nine, which lead up to the songs pretty nicely. The intro on track nine is awesome, very eerie. It also leads up to my favorite song on the CD and also the title track, "Spreading The Message." My other favorite tracks on this CD include "Stiffness" and "The Tones Are Weaker." Even though this CD didn't catch my attention like others, this is some good death metal, and all you death metal fans out there should check this band out."
    - Metal Fanatix

"This was a surprise! Totally rad European(the Czech Republic, to be exact) death metal with a touch of thrash. This is a prime example of why I think Europeans do Death Metal right; from Sweden(which spawned such institutions as AT THE GATES and IN FLAMES, to DISMEMBER and UNLEASHED), to Poland's burgeoning scene (with such killers and hopefulls like VADER and DECAPITATED), to the U.K. legends BOLT THROWER, Europe just seems to have something in the water that makes all their Death Metal bands the best! Which brings me to PANDEMIA. This Czech quartet continues in that time honored tradition in the fact that they know how to write good Death Metal SONGS. The songs on Spreading the Message all contain quality riffage and screamin' solo work that brings the listener back to the album for repeated listens. Part of the reason for this is because of PANDEMIA's knack for writing riffs that aren't always revolved around creating a mosh pit-type atmosphere as much as they are about rolling over you with their warring violence. This album is a pounder for sure, and is reccomended to all deathheads out there looking for a new, powerful album to add to their collection."
    - Unhallowed

"Welcome to a world where darkness rules supreme in this Death / Black Metal hybrid's debut CD. These guys are ruthless in their deliverance and savage in their message. That message is nothing other than of brutality divine. Driving and pulsating drumming with relentless riffing does nothing but spread their message with the excellence of true pros. And the sinister, ravaging vocals perfectly put into words what the music portrays. The only real question I had concerning this album was the three intro tracks found at various points on the album. I thought that the album might be a triple ep, but Rich from Lost Disciple assured me that this is indeed a new full-length album that simply had three intros. Other than the persisting confusion on why a band would do that, the album is well worth the money - Battle Helm"

" Pandemia prove there's more to Czech death metal than Krabathor. Actually, Pandemia are better and with Spreading the Message, Pandemia deliver some quality brutal and aggressive death metal. Great all around musicanship...that definately should be noticed. 7/10 - Brave Words and Bloody knuckles"

"From deep inside the Eastern Block of Europe, where daily life is a struggle just to survive, comes pandemia with their molten brand of pure fucking death metal ready to claw their way to freedom and conquer the world. With the exception of a few intors and outros, there is nothing all the new or original here but sheer exuberance and intensity with which these boys from the CZ Rep attack their music is a joy to behold. Fans of Malevolent Creation/Suffocation style brutal death metal should definately get a hold of this one. 9/10 - SOD"

"Yet another fucking excellent and raw death metal band from the Czech Republic. That scene is definately coming to light with some of the most promising new bands the death metal genre has seen in sometime and Pandemia is not to be taken lightly for sure! Blistering and intensified underground death metal that is just so great and promising in all it's crushing glory and mayhem. Raw rasping vocals complement the brutal undertakings present throughout these 9 tracks of savagery. I believe this to be a re-recording of their two demos since the track listing contains many intros throughout, along with two new tracks. Also included is their biography, which I think is a cool idea since they are such an unknown act but hopefully not for long! A worthy purchase for fans who like their death metal raw and sincere. Praise to Lost Disciple for unleashing this beast upon North America. - Jackal Blaster"

"I'm so glad to be getting promos from these guys now. With bands like Pessimist, Noctuary, and Burial, there isn't much room to mess up (although when they dip into the hardcore realm, in which they release?Well, Blood For Blood.). So I got this and instantly popped it in?And wow. I was bowled over. It starts off with a slow intro and then just completely rips into the first cut of unrelenting death metal with sick, throaty vocals. The music is what I'm all about. It's like Cannibal Corpse on speed while making love to three death metal bands that focus on speed instead of heaviness. I knew these guys would be from overseas too?And this one's different. They're from the Czech Republic! I don't think that's really overseas, but hey, that's awesome that there's such a sick scene (or at least, a sick band) from down there. One of the guys in the photo on the back really resembles one of the guys from Impaled too. How interesting. If you like sick death metal with hints of black (or at least a vocalist who isn't growling about slitting his girlfriend's stomach open so he can get more pleasure from her) you should definitely check out Pandemia. I'm really glad I got this one! This disc will definitely have a pretty tight spot in my CD player for at least two weeks - Rob@Loudnet.com"

"Hailing from the Czech Republic, Pandemia have unleashed their latest offering , Spreading the Message, upon the masses and the message is simple - it's time to crush!! These guys really crank up the Euor-death metal with a vengeance as they rape and pillage their way through the eight tracks with remarkable precision and musicanship. Pandemia are unrelenting in their delivery with crazy riffs and plenty-o-blast beats to keep the extremists smiling. However, they do break up their continuous bombardment of brutality with a short instrumental to help one catch their breath. This is fine death metal and worth checking out! B - Tim Lehman/Scene Magazine"

"This is bad-ass! Brutal Death!! The musical ideas are well-developed and displayed, even in the more straight-forward sections. It sounds like they hit what is being aimed for, and don't flail about non-sensically without direction. Production value is quite good, with an evil tone that preserves even the speedier passages from degrading in to an unintelligible wall of shit. The best of both worlds, Pandemia integrates the attentiveness to musical sensibility of the old school, with the increased level of agression and hate of the new. This Czech onslaught needs only to work on disonance, to vary the relationship of tension vs. resolution in the riffs and song arrangements. Also, they could teach some those hippie Swedes a thing or two about death metal thats actually HEAVY for a change! (Apologies to brutal Swedish bands, and to Lady Enslain, a.k.a Queen of Gothenburg!) ~Richard (Enslain Magazine, Issue #8)

"These Czechs are the future and salvation of Death Metal. Pandemia is pure, non-greedy death metal that is only looking for a good time and a lot of trouble. Spreading the Message is the first totally death metal album I've heard in years. Oh yeah, there's black metal and melodic death and thrash death and lots and lots of aberrations of death metal, but who is left that plays pure, destructive, heavy death metal? Pandemia is the answer. The only kind of flaw to Spreading the Message is that they used three intros and one outro on the disc. I think they were using them to break up the disc but it just interrupted the pummeling. Their music is so solid and the rhythms are varied enough that they don't need breaks. Michael's vocals are definitive death--lovely growling and snarling just tearing up the territory. Standout tracks are "Stiffness," "Free Strokes," "Slavemind," "Spreading the Message" and "Created Again." This may not be the most original style to perform, but Pandemia does it with panache and guts. Few bands will be able to hold up to this onslaught of metal, so they are probably afraid to ask them to support on gigs. Although they have toured with strong bands that aren't afraid of quality like Vader, Kreator, Krabathor (fellow Czechs), Dimmu Borgir, Six Feet Under, Sinister and Krisiun. I believe that Pandemia is throwing down the gauntlet to all the other "death metal" bands floundering out there: If they can be so strong and get their message out all the way from Czechoslvakia, why can't other death metal bands play with this power and ingenuity? Beats the heck out of me, but I hope this isn't the last we hear of Pandemia. This isn't radio friendly (thankfully), but if your tastes are like mine, you will love it. I hope that they embark on a U.S. tour real soon to spread the message, but it is more likely that they would tour Europe first (those darn Europeans get everything). - Sabrina Haines, Ear pollution - http://www.earpollution.com"

"Brutality! Nothing but vicious brutality. This is another example of the quality Death Metal that is currently making it's stand across Europe and America - Pandemia are a new name to the scene, but believe me, on the strength of this debut album 'Spreading the Message' this bands profile is going to go through the roof. Pandemia are from the Czech Republic and they are pure fucking Death metal. But hang on...something else is afoot here. Whilst the European Death metal scene tends to tread well worn paths in terms of originality and musical ideas, it cannot be denied that bands like Krabathor, Sanatorium and Houwister play with great passion and spirit. However, the Morbid Angel/Cannibal Corpse similarities often leave me a little dissatisfied. Pandemia have changed all that in 30 minutes of death metal slaughter. No doubt, Pandemia play brutal, vicious Death Metal. Deny the power of the first track proper entitled 'Stiffness' and the relentless barrage of 'Free Strokes'. Yet, amongst the many influences Pandemia wears proudly upon it's sleeve, there is a most glorious element of the heavy music scene embedded within the Pandemia Death Metal sound. Thrash!! Yes, In my opinion, the thrash vibe is very much a part of what Pandemia do, in particular the sound & style of US late 80's Death/Thrashers Devastation. I swear that some of the more mid-tempo riff driven sections of STM reek of the classic Devastation album 'Idolatry'. I was floored. Not that Pandemia have deliberately lifted anything that Devastation has done ( hell, the band would probably deny my comparison..!), It's just that the feel, the production, the whole riff structure and style reminded me so much of this underrated act. Whatever the case, it works a fucking treat. Pandemia don't hold back in the impact stakes either. 13 tracks ( with 3 intro/outro's) in 30 minutes. It's a massive wall of sound delivered in a brutal manner, with the idea to cave your skull to dust. With a phenomenally ultra-heavy production, obtaining a raw chainsaw shedding guitar sound, STM is a relentless barrage. A pure Death Metal rage with maximum impact. It has integrity and gives the Death Metal scene another dose of credibility. We have Nile to thanks for waking up the once sleeping Death metal giant and with the likes of Pandemia appearing on the scene, the scene may crush all once again. Released on Lost Disciple records in the USA..I urge all fans of the Death scene to seek this one out. It will not disappoint. Devastatingly refreshing. Rating 8.2/10 -Another Worldly Device(Australian radio & Webzine)"

"Pandemia delivers a pulverizing thirteen tunez on their debut, "Spreading the Message", also including three intros and one outro. This four man band is "Spreading the Message" all the way from the Czech Republic, which has a thriving scene, as of late. Pandemia have definite influences from Deicide and Vader, the death metal fan will go into convuvulsions over this release, With songs like, "Leaves In the Storm", "Majestic Suffering", "Presentiment of the Souls" and "Slavemind", to leave you exhausted, but yet wanting more-like great sex! Chek out Pandemia's sound bytes on Lost Disciple's site, for a taste of madness. - SkullCrusher: LARM, Grendel Web zine, Static zine and Suffer Mag"

"Here is a band that has building up for years and now has released a full length CD of brutality! I can really call them brothers of metal because I to have Czech in my blood. Getting right into things the "Intro" opens it all right into the belly of the beast on "Stiffness". Then we come to "Majestic Suffering". This track is one that really show how tight and thrashing fast a band can be. I would say moments are in a Slayer are and Kreator has to have influenced as with Napalm Death. Then we get another "Intro". "The Tones Are Weaker" then double speeds up then settle into a more solid thrasher. "Leaves The Storm" by far is the best track of all here. Trip over yourself thrashing exercise. Another intro? Yup! Then we get to "Spreading The Message". What is that a China Gong that the drummer is pounding? They really need to kick in more of those intricate parts. Definitely a Morbid Angel fan could eat this up. If you have a sweet tooth from War and Death Metal? Then you may be a lost disciple. - Hammerhead zine"

"Pandemia means Pandemia and that should be enough said. If you haven't heard about this guys you are either new to death metal or you were to buy their new album Am I right? Some time ago Alex send me their promo which was a very good piece of music but lacked some power, and now I have their first album. What can I say about it? I know that they are a band that tours a lot and you can feel it in their music. Mainly the ability to compose music directed to concerts and gigs. Every track contains a dose of something that is required during a gig. It is catchy, fast, joyful (sic!). When you close the eyes you can see crowds of metal maniacs hailing PANDEMIA. "Spreading..." contains 13 track 3 of which are intros. Next 3 tracks are taken from the promo, so you have brand new 6 tracks made by crew of PANDEMIA. When I compare it to the previous release (promo tape) I see the great development in their skills and the dev. in the sound of their recordind. So if you are into pure death metal from moghty Czech Republic do not forget to order their stuff... [9/10] - Masterful Mag (Poland)
Pandemia interview to be included in news section... pandemia interview "

"Lost Disciple has developed themselves a reputation for releasing some high quality Death Metal such as Pessimist, now they spew forth Pandemia which is yet another excellent Death metal lot that plays said form of music with plenty of genuine sickness. Technically sound, the band covers all possible bases with their chosen style of music. The vocals are heavy, without being annoying guttural belchings. Once again, Lost Disciple has a Death Metal winner on their hands, now if only the world will start taking notice. Pessimist should be huge by now, as with Pandemia. Rating 90/100 - Lance/Ultima Comparatio"

""picture Mar Duk fighting Morbid Angel under a blackened full moon and you start to get the idea..." - Good Times (NYC)"

    "7/7 - Rock Report (CZ)"

"From all the hype on Lost Disciple's part, I was expecting copious amounts of blasting. Even though the blast isn't overwhelming, there's still enough here to satisfy the thirst, making this a good record. Kind of like Morbid Angel, only more brutal. - Eternal Frost web zine (US)"

"Pandemia are from the Czech Republic and are "spreading the message" that even in the Eastern Bloc, death metal is a thriving force to be reckoned with. Known for their live shows all over Europe, it's apparent that their energy and forceful demeanor translated successfully on SPREADING THE MESSAGE, Pandemia's first legacy of evil. This is primitive, skull bashing death metal of the most extreme variety ĪV performed to the hilt by a group of very talented musicians. SPREADING THE MESSAGE is an impressive first effort, stark and brutal ĪV comparable to the great works of Vader, Krisiun and even the mighty Slayer. All fans of uncompromising death metal should get a hold of this near-great release and prepare for the sonic assault! - Highwire Daze (LA,CA)"
